Cycling Art Research (CAR) is a collective that uses art and research about, by, and with cycling to actively practice and convey alternative ways of moving and being. Cycling is a radical tool for exploration and experimentation within art and allows us to experience the world at a different speed, duration, and scale; connecting us to the land and each other.
We are primarily a group of artists, researching and creating in order to make artwork. However our approach through cycling is inherently interactive and community based, and our skills and approaches are also tools to benefit others. We therefore have developed several workshops and services as starting points for collaboration.
WORKSHOPS
Building practice communally, creating shared connection of people and place through cycling art and research. These workshops go from being purchasable interactive artworks, to being customisable experiences.
SERVICES
As well as template based workshops we can offer specific bespoke services to compliment what you are already doing as an institution, location, or initiative.
To read more details about our offering please get in touch and we will send our full CAR Services document and initiate our process of working together. It might involve talking under a wide night sky after a day of riding bikes.
